The Denver Museum of Nature and Science: What to Do and See

Founded over a century ago in 1900, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science is the city’s premier display of everything from cutting edge technology to natural history. The museum building is an enormous, modern display of architecture and design. Below we’ve listed a sample of the most exciting things to do and see.

What do robots, outer space and chocolate all have in common? They’re just a few of the exhibition subjects currently on display! “Robot Revolution” takes a look at the impact and role that our robotic companions have in society, from surgical droids to robots that can climb walls and play soccer! The exhibition is on display from now until August 7.

Explore the celestial bodies like never before at “Space Odyssey,” an exciting exhibition on permanent display. This guided exhibition features live performances, demonstrations and more, including telescopes that offer views of the night sky and our neighboring planets like you’ve never seen!

By far the tastiest focus of all the museum’s exhibits, “Chocolate: The Exhibition” takes a look at the history of everyone’s favorite treat (at it least it should be everyone’s favorite). From its South American roots and place in Aztec and Mayan cultures, to its widespread popularity and more, “Chocolate: The Exhibition” covers it all. This delicious display will be around until May 8.

Children will love “One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure,” a fun feature where Sesame Street characters explore the way that the world’s cultures view space.
