What to Do and See at the Denver Butterfly Pavilion


Spiders, fish, plants and more – they all have as place in the exhibits at the Denver Butterfly Pavilion!

There’s more than just butterflies here, but these flying friends steal the show. The Wings of the Tropics exhibit is a tropical conservatory that will transport you to the climate and surrounding that the butterflies here call home. Witness 1,600 butterflies in their natural habitat, accompanied by an assortment of plants and other tropical creatures! 

Invertebrate World is a fun, hands-on exploration of the insects that inhabit the world we live in. Tarantulas, worms, ants and nearly every other spineless citizen you can think of has a place in this multi-part exhibit. Sea-dwelling creatures like the Peacock Mantis Shrimp can be found here, too!

Other exhibits in the Butterfly Pavilion include Water’s Edge, which is dedicated the invertebrates of the aquatic nature, and the Crawl-A-See-Em, where you can hold a live tarantula!
