The History of this Federal Complex

Since 1792, the U.S. Mint in Denver has grown into the largest coin manufacturer in the world. Each coin is designed and pressed here to be sent out all across the country. If you look at each coin, you’ll notice the incredible craftsmanship and intricate designs that define them.

Guided Tours 

Discover the wonders of this federal complex with a Denver Mint Tour. It’s located at 320 W Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80204, and is close to the Civic Center Park in downtown Denver! Stop by the Gift Shop for your free tickets and browse the extensive collection of merchandise.

Denver Mint Tours take place Monday through Thursday (except for federal holidays) from 8 a.m to 3:30 p.m. Tour dates vary throughout the year. The journey typically lasts from 45-60 minutes and explains the entire process of creating every penny, nickel, dime, quarter, half-dollar, and silver dollar. As you continue on your tour, you’ll learn the extensive history of the U.S. Mint and its essential role in our nation’s history.
