Arapahoe Basin maintains its reputation as one of the best ski resorts near Denver. Winter Park is located about 90 minutes west of the Mile High City. You can take a car from Denver to Winter Park via I-70, but we recommend riding the newly reopened Denver Ski Train. This favorite attraction takes you through the white canvas of the Rockies and showcases unique views of our marvelous region. You’ll be treated to an array of winter pastimes and some of the best provisions to refuel you after a day on the slopes. It’s also one of the easiest ski resorts to access from the Denver Airport thanks to a stop there by the Ski Train!
Tip: Be aware of the altitude change while you ski and snowboard. The Rocky Mountains are significantly higher than most skiing locations which affect everyone differently. Be mindful of what you eat, drink, and do while at the resort.
